i used google images to research these magazine covers. once clicking on the image i was directed to a website behind the image. these websites included:

i found a jazz magazine from 1976 which interested me alot as i think it would be intersting to look into much more dated magazines and maybe bring back trends from the past to a new magazine.

here is another jazz magazine but this magazine appears as though it is for a completely different genre of music to the previous jazz magazine. this cover uses a more zoomed out image and the colour scheme again, is fairly simplistic but much more bold.

this is my favourite cover i found. i love the unique style the magazine has chosen to use an incredibly abstract simplistic minimalistic effect whih overall creates a powerful effect on the viewer. the title remains a fixed location in every issie and the colour scheme varies each week to fit with the picture.
this is another cover of WAD i found. wad magazine focuses on urban fashoin and culture and i definately feel that this is reflected in the front cover alone.

today i decided to reasearch some different types of music genre magazines so i could establish a clearer idea of what there already is in the real magazine market and gather more ideas so that i can become clearer on the type of magazine i wish to produce.

this classical music magazine called 'Gramophone' uses the same signature fixed location title every issue. there is always a photo of someone associated with classical music on the front cover and in this case, the image bleeds to the right of the page. the colour cheme varies each issue but remains simple each time.
