Questionnaire results analysis.
I was pleased with the thorough response I got from my questionnaires. The calculated mean age came to 18.5 and this will be around my target audience age.
When asked to state their general interests and hobbies, listening to or playing music was the most popular response with the participants, closely followed by interests in parties and going to music concerts. The least popular interest was with TV.
To gain an insight into what my target audience have previously bought in terms of music magazines, my questionnaires show that NME was the most popular choice, followed by Q and KERRANG!.
When asked what particular aspects the participants wanted to see within those magazines, news and events, fashion and interviews were most sought after. The least popular aspect people wish to see was a puzzle page.
I asked my participants to state genres of music they liked and then out of these chosen genres, they were asked to choose their favourite so I could have a defined idea of specifically favoured music genres.
Most popular responses to general like for the genre was rock and Indie followed by Electro and Dance. When asked to clarify only one favourite genre, Indie music came out most popular.
And finally, if I were to publish this magazine according to results on how often my target audience would buy the magazine, it would be fortnightly.
